Josh Rosa, Senior Account Executive

Josh Rosa helps clients win campaigns through opinion research, media strategy, message development, and coalition-building.

Josh joined Redwood Pacific after more than a decade in California politics. From 2010 to 2014, he represented clients in California’s energy, high-tech, and construction industries, successfully advocating pro-business building standards and alternative energy projects. Josh also served as Senior Advisor to Mayor Kevin Johnson, where he helped design and execute the policy platform of the U.S. Conference of Mayors.

Josh previously honed an expertise in policy and communications related to energy, technology, and environmental issues as a legislative advisor to Governor Schwarzenegger, managing such landmark issues as AB 32 (California’s Global Warming Solutions Act) and California’s handling of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Prior to joining the Governor’s Office, Josh provided research and communications to numerous statewide political campaigns, including ballot initiatives and gubernatorial candidates.

Josh teaches advocacy and public affairs at the University of California-Davis Extension, and holds a Master’s degree in public policy and administration. He has also served on boards and commissions overseeing local government budgets and policy in Sacramento.
